About ReachABLE

Financial independence, made reachable.

ReachABLE is a public financial platform for people with disabilities. Free, private, and built on rigorous research.

What ReachABLE is.

Professor Michelle Yin founded ReachABLE to help people with disabilities reach financial independence. ReachABLE is a place where people can learn about finance, economics, and benefits, and get everything they need to build wealth in support of their education, career, family, and life goals.

Every tool on this site is free. Every course is free. Nothing you type is saved unless you tell us to save it. Built around the questions people actually ask, in plain 8th-grade language. If ReachABLE helps you, a five-dollar donation supports the platform and the team. Donations are optional. All tools stay free whether you donate or not.

What you can do here.

ReachABLE is growing into a full learning and planning platform for financial independence, not just an ABLE tool.

Selected research.

ReachABLE tools are informed by Professor Yin's ongoing research on ABLE and disability financial inclusion. The research is separate from ReachABLE. Our path to self-sustaining operations

ReachABLE is a mission that pays for itself.

Grant funding launches the platform and funds research. Corporate sponsors and state ABLE plans fund the free tier for adults with disabilities. Subscription and enterprise revenue funds ongoing operations. We are building a self-sustaining product company, not a grant-dependent program. The mission and the profit-and-loss point in the same direction.

Phase 1 · 2026 to 2027
Grants build the platform
NIH, ACL, DOL ODEP, foundations. R&D, evidence, MVP.
Phase 2 · 2027 to 2028
Sponsored freemium
Corporate sponsors and state ABLE plan pilots underwrite free access.
Phase 3 · 2028 to 2030
Enterprise overtakes grants
State contracts, employer benefits, financial-institution licenses.
Phase 4 · 2030+
Self-sustained + expansion
Operating income funds core. Grants pursued for expansion into new populations, not core operations.
Mission-first. Revenue-durable. Every dollar earned goes back to keeping the free tier free for adults with disabilities, expanding coverage to underserved communities, and improving the evidence base behind the plan. A B Corp application is in preparation.
